Eye-appealing Monospaced Font

Bitstream Vera Sans Mono is a really nice font for code. It has the following features that make it superior to Courier New:

• Smoothing, or anti-aliasing. Kind of like Cleartype, this font's smooth edges take the harshness out of reading code.
• differentiation of zeros and capital O's by use of a dot in the center of the zero.
• differentiation of numeral 1's and lowercase l's.
